  • Junior Account Manager


    We’re seeking a Junior Account Manager to join the Advertising Sales team for PerezHilton.com and other leading sites. Someone who, like us, is passionate about digital media and building relationships.

    We’ve been a media innovator since 1998. We conceive, build and sell complex, big-ticket ad campaigns on desktop, mobile and iPad to national advertisers in movies and TV, book publishing, retail, and technology industries.


    General Responsibilities:


    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with ad agencies and clients from New York to Los Angeles

    • Create new partnerships through outreach by phone, email, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter

    • Work with team members to create winning proposals

    • Develop strategies for top tier clients

    • Close deals and assist our AdOps team in ensuring your campaigns are executed flawlessly

    • Travel to client meetings ranging from formal presentations to sports outings and dinners

    • Network at conferences and promotional events

    • Help develop ideas for new products and services

    Successful candidates will have:


    • 1-2 years of experience in sales, marketing, promotions, public relations, or media industry

    • A 4-year college degree

    • Motivation to close and fulfill deals

    • Commitment to providing awesome client service

    • High energy and flexibility for a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail

    • The ability to be super-organized and comfortable multi-tasking

  • Sales Support Associate

    We’re seeking a Sales Support Associate to gain experience with the team that sells advertising on PerezHilton.com and our other entertainment properties. Someone who, like us, is passionate about pop culture and digital media.

    We’ve been a media innovator since 1998. We conceive, build and sell complex, big-ticket ad campaigns on desktop, mobile and iPad to national advertisers in movies and TV, book publishing, retail, and technology industries.


    Day-to-day experiences:


    • Work with sales staff and design team to create winning proposals and pitches

    • Analyze campaign performance data and assist with creating wrap-up presentations at the completion of campaigns

    • Help brainstorm integrated advertising ideas for clients, help develop and formalize new products, and create and improve sales materials

    • Observe (and occasionally participate in) strategy discussions with national advertisers

    • Assist with sales research and discovering leads

    • Plan and lead team meetings including sales brainstorms

    Successful candidates will have:


    • The ability to be super-organized and comfortable multi-tasking

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail

    • Tech-savviness and familiarity with Microsoft Office

    • A sense of responsibility and accountability for his or her work

    • Eagerness to work autonomously and seek out valuable projects during less busy periods

    • High energy and flexibility for a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

    • Availability to work 40 hours per week

    • Ambition for growth while making $15/hour in a fun, friendly downtown Durham office

    Blogads seeks a Business Development Strategist to join our Advertising Sales team. Someone who, like us, is passionate about digital media and building relationships.

    We’ve been a media innovator since 1998 and represent market-leading websites like PerezHilton and UrbanDictionary. We work closely with national advertisers in industries like movies and TV, book publishing, retail, and technology.


    General Responsibilities:


    • Create new relationships with national advertiser clients through outreach by phone, email, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter

    • Develop and implement a strategy for pitching inventory to programmatic media buyers

    • Be smart, creative and contribute to marketing strategies for top tier clients

    • Travel to cities like New York, Chicago and Los Angeles to do meetings with clients ranging from formal presentations and lunch-and-learns to sports outings and dinners

    • Network at conferences and promotional events

    • Help develop ideas for new products and services

    Successful candidates will have:


    • At least one year of experience in media sales, promotions, or public relations

    • Excitement about in-person meetings, presentations, and building relationships

    • Comfort with digital media and technology

    • Motivation to close deals

    • High energy and flexibility for a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail

    • The ability to be super-organized and comfortable multi-tasking

    • A 4-year college degree
