Liberal and conservative blog readers clash over same-sex marriage and science education
Readers of liberal blogs are nearly 3x more likely to support recognizing same-sex marriage than conservative counterparts, our latest survey shows.
Liberal readers also support more federal funding for science education, by nearly the same margin.
More than twice as many conservative blog readers consider themselves “very concerned” about rising gas and energy prices than liberals.
Two weeks ago, we published survey responses from the readers of liberal and conservative blogs that showed the two groups living in opposite universes. Our latest numbers support that finding.
In our previous post, we noted that liberals found newspapers to be the most trustworthy new medium by a margin of 5.7 to 1. When responding to the same question, “Which for of news media is the most trustworthy,” 3.4x as many conservatives as liberals answered “radio.”
The number come from surveys conducted between March and May on well known political blogs including Political Wire, Wonkette, Drudge Retort, Right Wing News, Althouse, Outside the Beltway, News Hounds, Pandagon, Linkiest, Viral Footage, Informed Comment, The Agonist, Jack and Jill Politics, Yid With Lid, Burnt Orange Report, Chicago Boyz, NoisyRoom, The Steel Deal, MyDD and damnum absque injuria.
Many of these blogs are members of Liberal Blog Advertising Network (LBAN) and the Conservative Blog Advertising Network (CBAN).
