We’ve all seen links on our favorite blogs that say something like “buy ads here” or “advertise here,” but unless you’re an advertiser, you may not have clicked to find out where that link takes you. If a blogger really wants to make money blogging, she will have a landing page full of compelling information and options for advertisers. And that’s at the very least.

Blogads.com makes buying online ads even easier — in three ways!

For the last 10 years, we’ve worked tirelessly to make buying online ads as painless as possible for do-it-yourself advertisers. Today we announce three more updates to our DIY system that make buying and uploading your own ads even easier.

1. We now accept PNG images for ad creative! Previously, our system only accepted JPG and GIF images. Today we now accept PNG, which is the default image format for Apple screen grabs, and an increasingly popular format for web designers.

You’re out to lunch with a close friend that you follow on Twitter. She starts to tell you about the movie she went to the night before. “It was so lame,” she says, “I actually — well, you probably saw my tweet.”

You fake a laugh. “Oh yeah,” you say. You’re lying. You follow over 500 people on Twitter and can’t possibly read every tweet, even those written by your closest friends.

Twitter makes people jealous, becomes support group during SXSW

If you were on Twitter this week, and couldn’t figure out how to block all SXSW tweets, you might have felt like the only person who wasn’t in Austin. But if you had sifted through the heaps of “These lines are ridiculous,” “My phone’s almost dead” and “Heck yeah free sunglasses and/or breakfast tacos” tweets, you would find that you were not alone in your loneliness.

PR agency attendance up 31% at SXSW; Weber Shandwick is the new King

Digitas rules SXSW 2012; advertising agency presence at SXSW steady in ’12 after 10x growth in 2011

After gargantuan growth into 2011, attendance at SXSW by advertising agency staff finally leveled off in 2012. Whew.

This year Digitas wins the King of SXSW prize, followed closely by Ogilvy and Razorfish. Last year’s King, Leo Burnett, fell to #9 in the SXSW agency list. (more…)
